Being mobile is a very important aspect of our lifestyle for our own individuality, leisure time and freedom.
This is precisely where you reach your own limits or don't want to give up your habits so easily. So just try to weigh up what works best for you, depending on your circumstances. Depending on where you live (city or country), whether you commute daily or work from home, and even how far the commutes are, there's no one-size-fits-all solution.
Tip: Be conscious of your mobility, meaning simply consider your travel options from time to time and inform yourself about the available options. This can sometimes be done very well with apps that display different options accordingly.
Tip: Short distances on foot or by bike: When you're pressed for time to get to work, you often want to get there directly and quickly. Short distances, however, are definitely possible on foot. An added benefit: More activity is also good for your health—especially in nature.
Tip: Car sharing – depending on your needs, it's also possible in private (carpooling/neighborhood car sharing) or with the corresponding local services; give it a try. "The other way around," you can also offer to give neighbors or friends a ride on trips to distant supermarkets, or support those who can't afford it.
